Body and Mind Harmony

Many advices on staying healthy or happy or both are typically difficult to practice. Because of this though they have value they do not give the desired results.


I am going to give an easy to practice approach that will yield good results. The relation between body and mind is an interdependent one. Mind affects the body and vice versa.


When someone advices one to eat healthy food it is difficult to follow because we are tempted by junk food, eat them and hence the show gets spoiled.


Similarly when someone advices us not to show anger or be kind to others we find it difficult to implement because emotions are difficult to implement under constraints just as eating right food is.


Here is a novel idea. Let us try to balance mental negativity by physical positivity and vice versa. So if we are tempted to eat junk food let us eat it but balance it with good thoughts. This is not going to cost us anything and is easy to implement when not under constraint. Let us just think I am going to feed the poor or be kind to people. Let us do this for 15 min or so after an unhealthy act for body. It is just some good thoughts


Similarly when we do something wrong, that which is a mentally negative act let us do some good to the body. If it is time for food, let us eat healthy food. If it time for bath or exercise or yoga let us do that. If not any of these let us just drink water.


The idea is knowing that mind affects the body and vice versa and that practice of right advice under constraint is very difficult we use the above easy to follow approach to remove negativities to mind and body.


There is a very important hidden benefit also. Without consciously knowing, we are tuning ourselves to healthy and good habits which can really transform us
