Evolution

Nature has given us two routes to evolution IMO. One is the selfless path which happens by nurturing the intellect part of the mind and the other surprisingly is the selfish part which is based on the ego. We need to understand that both the selfless part and the selfish part have to be developed and be in balance for perfection to happen. Selfless people will learn that they can't let themselves be repeatedly hurt and taken advantage of by others and hence will start thinking about self whereas selfish people will understand that to prosper indefinitely it is to their advantage to take care of others also just like the customer service aspect of todays businesses. Since true spiritual path is about balance I will talk about how to bring about the balance and hence greatly empower the mind

The path for the selfless people and that for the material or the selfish ones are different. The former have to understand that even negative emotions exist for a purpose but that understanding will come in only gradually. Accordingly there are three grades of responses to the negative energy. The responses start from trivializing the negative emotions to accommodating them in the whole scheme of things. The lowest grade is humour which can be used to trivialize negative energy and thus handle it. When people employ negative energy against one, one can dismiss it by using appropriate humour. You are making the statement that those employing negative energy are doing do because of ignorance and hence are not to be taken seriously. You are considering it ignorance because these people do not understand that using negative energy is most likely to recoil on them

The next grade of response is sympathy and compassion for the person using negative energy . Again that is on the premise that the person is ignorant but you are not totally trivializing the negative energy. You actually want to correct that person and make him understand the repercussions of using negative energy. This type of approach is taken by great souls who look at even those who are negative in a positive way. But anyone can reach this level by putting on conscious efforts on the sub conscious mind which will spur the subconscious to deliver the right results on the conscious. We will see more of this approach subsequently. One important point to remember is that you are actually empowering yourself by choosing the responses of humour and compassion because you are not letting negative energy to affect you. This is the genesis of great spiritual power though for that you need to strongly keep motivating yourself and not be dettered or discouraged by pressures and prejudices.

The most stellar way to respond to negative energy is by empathy. By this I mean understanding others perspective but not get emotional about it. You are being the most objective without letting emotions in the way but still being the most just, fair and righteous in everything. Your understanding is that negative energies are there for a purpose and have to be responded to in the most objective manner and presto! What an effective response it can be! It is like applying the laws of science. you do not differentiate between negative and positive. So you are able to get the same benefit from negative energy as you get from positive energy. In a nutshell you see a higher purpose for the negative energy and consider it as essential part of the whole scheme of things. The power you get is that you harness the strength of negative energy to your advantage and go beyond than just stop at being not affected by it
